As you look around, London is buzzing with hip-hop fashion; it’s so hard not to see a fresh-faced boy or girl dressed in the latest fashion. Could this be because of our current hip-hop stars?
Take Jay Z for example, who has clearly influenced others into buying Frank&Jan’s ‘Blame Society’ tee he was seen rocking. I mean who wouldn’t want to been seen wearing the same t-shirt as the king of hip-hop. And also Rihanna who has just recently launched her River Island collection.
Originating from the streets of New York in the late 70s, the urban fashion scene has definitely changed the fashion industry and especially our culture. Lycra body suits and cut denim shorts are also back in fashion thanks to female rap duo Salt-n-Pepa.
The way we see fashion is forever changing, but what is next for hip-hop fashion?
Stay tuned for part 2.
